Hi Laura. I read your book about Colin and wanted to tell you that I knew him quite well back in the 80s. He was already quite deep into his drug addiction by then.
Little Colin was born around the same time as my daughter and I remember spending a lovely Saturday afternoon with Colin, Jenny and baby Colin with my new daughter and other half at the time. As the years passéd I distanced myself a bit as I didn’t go down the same route thankfully.
I just wanted to let you know that despite his problems I always found Colin to be a kind and considerate gentleman and I just wanted you to know that.

Thank you for reading the book. All the money raised goes to Open Road. I am sorry this reply is late – I just found this! Yes, it was hard to see where Colin was heading, but he was not for turning. I inherited some money from our uncle in 2015 and wanted Colin to try rehab, but all of his close friends were addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and he feared a friendless future. He tried to do it by himself once or twice, but that is just plain dangerous. Yes, he was kind, generous and very funny at times. I loved him dearly and miss him a lot. Thank you so much for writing.
