This is an excerpt from towards the end of the book. I was looking for a poem to read at my brother’s funeral, and couldn’t find anything at all suitable. Eventually I wrote my own for my leather-jacketed, denim-jeaned brother who loved Dion’s ‘The Wanderer’ and truly never would settle down.
